The Perseus Molecular Cloud is a huge area of gas, dust and star forming
regions. It spans 6deg x 2deg. For comparison, the full moon
appears to be 1/2 degree in size. On the eastern end (left side of
the image) is IC348. Next to that is the reddish LBN749. On
the western end (right side of the image) is NGC1333, and on the bottom
right is vdB16. There are numerous other LDN, LBN and Barnard objects
as well.
